A neighborhood for us, by us.
We are an active Block Club located in the Lower Eastside of Detroit in a neighborhood called Islandview. We are made up of both young and old residents who envision a safe, healthy, and sustainable future for all of our neighbors. We like to consider ourselves a Block Family that takes care of one another.

As the east side Detroit neighborhood changes, longtime residents deliver food to their neighbors, raise money for roof repairs, organize a protest over substandard housing and want the city to know: “We’re still here.”
